General background and education
After thirteen years as a Roman Catholic nun,
Barbara Mayer has continued studies in world religions,
belief systems, and philosophies, form west to East. Dedicated to
finding Truth beyond the teachings of patriarchal hierarchies and
self-serving religious pundits, Mayer is a spiritual facilitator
meditation guide, Reiki master and poet. With careers in journalism
and education, she has gone from days as a “singing num’ to living
in Sedona, Arizona where she writes and champions personal
spirituality in a caring, compassionate lifestyle for all.
