• E-Book Marketing. Most authors are also readers, and it is a rare author who likes the idea of the new e-world of publishing. We like to hold real books in our hands. However, for better or for worse, the entire book market is heading toward the world of e-books. In order to be competitive in today’s rapidly changing market, Sanctuary pursues every avenue of market­ing, including e-books.
   

• The Website-Downloadable E-Book. With the author’s permission, we are making complete books available on our website for immediate download. The pricing will be approximately half of what a printed book would cost. The huge benefit to both publisher and author is that there is no printing cost involved, and this is especially important considering that printing costs are going up every day. The costs for setting up a book as a downloadable e-book is low. So with little investment,
  e-book sales provide “passive” income, and the Sanctuary website is al­ready using this application.
   

• E-Readers. Here is an example of just how fast technology is changing even the e-book market. E-reader’s like Amazon’s Kindle have been around awhile, and they already have an established place in the market. But the real drawback to some authors has been that a Kindle environment cannot display any images. Books with art and photography cannot be formatted for this platform.
  
  But now that Apple has come out with the i-Pad, everything has changed again. The i-Pad not only allows for a book’s art, but for a horizontal, or “landscape” format as well. You can even “turn pages” with your finger on an i-Pad book. The I-Pad Bookstore is also far superior to Amazon’s Kindle. Pundits are now claiming that I-Pad will outmarket Kindle. Sanctuary Publications will aggressively pursue this market along with all others.
